INTRODUCTION
Anatomy Studies for Yoga Teachers (ASFYT) is a comprehensive, 108-hour course of study in musculo-skeletal anatomy, injury awareness/prevention and the kinesiology of yoga asana. The course is one of the main components of the 500-hour Teacher Training curriculum offered at the Zenyasa Yoga & Wellness Studio, but is open to all yoga teachers, movement/fitness professionals and anyone else who desire to acquire a strong foundation in musculo-skeletal anatomy. No prior experience in anatomy or yoga is required to enroll.
CURRICULUM
The curriculum is broken down into the following three modules, each of which is a pre-requisite for the next:
1.Bones, Joints & Common Injuries (36 contact hours)
Prerequisites: none
2.Muscles & Their Actions (36 contact hours)
Prerequisites: Module I (Skeletal System)
3.Anatomy of Yoga Asana (36 contact hours)
Prerequisites: Modules 1 & 2

STUDY OPTIONS
There are currently four study options to choose from:
1.Monday/Wednesday Afternoon Track (18 weeks)
2:15-5:15pm, from September-February
2.Tuesday/Thursday Afternoon Track (18 Weeks)
2:15-5:15pm, from Feburary-June
3.Alternate Saturday Track (18 Saturdays)
1:15-7:45pm, from September-June
Meets two Saturdays per month; this option is offered every other year, starting on even years (next one starts 9/2012!)
4.Home Study Track
